I have a BX2230 with a loader, I am about to run out of warranty and have developed a fluid leak were the lines connect the loader to the tractor at the quick connection. it is very minor and only making a small spot on the floor
Should I worry about it and have a mechanic come out and fix it under warranty, ( I will probably have to pay travel costs) or just let it go. I only have about 60 hours on the tractor?

My opinion is it won't fix itself, and will likely only get worse. That means repair by either you or the dealer. You might look closely at where it's leaking and see if you can fix it yourself, either by tightening it a bit or replacing the fitting. Otherwise I'd advise ponying up the bucks for dealer travel time. ....

It needs to be fixed.... and you need to be VERY CAREFUL around the leak while the engine is running, on the off chance that there is a tiny high pressure stream involved.
It could take out an eye or get injected under your skin with serious consequences.

Is it leaking with the quick connectors coupled or uncoupled to the FEL hoses? If coupled, the above advice is sound. If uncoupled, it might just be dirt around the edge of the ball seal. If it's a cone type, sometimes they simply just get off center. I've stopped mine from dripping simply by pushing in with my finger and letting it re-center itself.

My new B7800 started leaking at the same spoat after a few hours of use. Called dealer and waited a few days for him to send service man. Didn't show, so with tractor not running, disconnected hose and tightened down fitting, wiped off hose fitting and made sure it was clean and reconnected. Hasn't leaked since. ....

Thanks for all of the advice. You "guys" are great, the dealer will have a service man out Thursday.
This site has so much good information for people like me who are new to tractors and not much of a mechanic.
Best money I have spent before and after I bought my tractor. ....

As we "speak", I'm letting some liquid teflon seal on my fittings as just today I've run into the same situation. After about an hour, I'm going out to put the fittings back together and hope that does the trick... Good luck with your situation! ....

The service man came yesterday as planned, he spent about 4 hours working on various connections and noticed a few other things that needed adjustment. My float position on the loader was hard to get into and out of float, so he took it all apart and made some adjustments, changed the pressure on my hydrolic value to bring it back to factory spec.
We had about 45 minutes waiting for some parts to be delivered so he took the time to go over the whole tractor and give me a better understanding of how things work. A very worthwile experience and all under warranty except for the travel time. What a great dealer.
I used the loader for about 30 minutes last night and everything was dry, no more leaks.
Thanks for the advice to get it done now. ....
